In-4 (243 x 162 mm) de 4 ff.n.ch., 240 pp. [i.e. 248]. Maroquin olive, triple filet doré en encadrement des plats, armoiries centrales du prince Bourbon-Conti (OHR 2645), dos lisse orné d’un décor à la grotesque, tranches dorées (reliure du XVIIIe siècle).

Belle et importante édition, joliment imprimée par Henri Estienne avec les commentaires grecs encadrant le texte principal.
« A very important and beautifully printed edition of the Argonautica, including the Greek scholia surrounding the text, as well as 8 pages of textual notes by Estienne; in his dedicatory preface, to the Dutch humanist Gerard Falckenburg, Estienne has included additional textual emendations » (Schreiber).
