St.-Aubin did active service in the Company of Grenadiers from the year 1831 until March 24, 1833 – the time of the dissolution of the said Company – in witness whereof I have issued him the present certificate to serve him in case of need. The note is countersigned at the bottom left: ’Seen and approved by us Major, Commander of the First Battalion of Infantry of the Louisiana Legion. S. Saint-Saint-Cyr, Major Commandant. The note is addressed to: ‘Monsieur Ad. St.-Aubin / Ex member of the Company of Grenadiers / Present’.
