First edition, rare.

One of th earliest works devoted to neurosurgery. Among other details, it recounts Morand’s successful operation to remove an “abscess in the brain” by trepanning the mastoid. “The patient, a monk, had otorrhoea followed by a masteoid abscess, which Morand opened” (Garrison).

No half-title to part II, smal waterstain to upper margin.
