First edition of this rare Touraine printing. 

Father Morillon, poet and Benedictine monk (1631-1694), served for 25 years as procurator-syndic of his order before the parliament of Brittany. He was originally from Tours and his poems, published in Tours shortly after his death, bear the false address “Turin”, as does the poem Joseph, ou l’esclave fidèle, which the author had previously published in this way to avoid the wrath of his order.
