Charming book, illustrated with 12 original etching, printed in color and finished by hand after Bessa, Redouté’s most famous pupil. The plates depict a fruitbasket (title), cherries, apples, red currant, peaches, stawberries and raspberries (one one plate), apricots, renneclaudes, figues, peaches, grapes, and oranges. The accompanying text gives details on fruits, their varieties and properties.
