Nissen, BBI, 1436; Pritzel, 6633 (erroneous collation); Stafleu-Cowan, III, 6670 (mentions a portrait, not called for by Nissen); not in Hunt.
First and only edition.
The work is illustrated with 63 engraved plates, not 54 as Pritzel notes. In fact one has to add the 9 supplementary plates (11bis, 13bis, 14bis, 41bis, 45bis, 45ter, 52bis, 53bis, 54bis). These plates are bound here in the greatest disorder, with an added extra set of plates 35 to 41.
