Copy of the large paper issue of the translation of Dibdin’s 30th letter, published in his Voyage pittoresque en France et en Allemagne relatif à la bibliographie et aux antiquités. This letter caused an uproar among French craftsmen, as Crapelet points out that “the rapidity with which he collected his observations caused him to make many misunderstandings about objects that were in truth of little importance”.

A fine copy, inscribed on the flyleaf “à son excellence Mgr. le comte Siméon, G.A. Crapelet”.
