Sigaud de Lafond succeeded Abbé Nollet as Professor of Experimental Physics at the school Louis le Grand.  He continued to demonstrate physics as successfully as his predecessor. His work is illustrated with 53 beautiful plates showing all the electrical machines, chemical, meteorological and physical instruments in use at the time.
