Interesting feminine bibliophilic provenance
A very rare copy bearing the arms of Madame Louis Boucherat, née Françoise de Loménie de Faye, with the coats of arms of the two families side by side. Louis Boucherat was Chancellor of France, in charge of appliying the Revocation of Nantes that Le Tellier (1603-1685), his predecessor and passionate opponent of the Huguenots, had signed before his death. This is the only known work bound with his wife's coat of arms.
Very nice copy.
Other provenance : Jacob Gaillard (18th century engraved bookplate).
