Gay, 1518; Playfair, 511.
First edition of the French translation by Frasans. The original English edition appeared in London in 1816. The two appendices deal with navigation of the Upper Niger and the ethniticies inhabiting “the Barbary of the Moroccan Empire”.
The large map, engraved by E. Collin, entitled “Carte pour servir au voyage de Robert Adams dans l’intérieur de l’Afrique”, covers the west side of Africa as far as central Africa and the Congo.
A very fine copy, untrimmed, with a few small corrections in the text.
