This very interesting book contains in 45 synoptic tables a comprehensive listing on science including mathematics, astronomy, perspective, gnomonics, hydrography, mechanics and architecture.
Dati, mathematician, cosmographer and architect, was born in Perugia in 1537, elected Bishop in Frosinone where he died in 1586. On his entering to the Domincan Order he changed his name from Rainaldi to Dati. According to Sotheran that this work present the first attempt of a classification of the mathematic sciences.
Good copy, lower margin of first two leaves reinforced touching some letters of the preface; title slightly stained, some occasional foxing.
