Quérard, VI, 515.
First edition.
An important treatise on agronomy and forestry economics. This work escaped the great Kress, Goldsmiths and Einaudi collections. Charles-Didier d’Ourches (1764-1819) gives an example of good forest management based on soil analysis, the most suitable varieties for certain types of soil, etc.
The first volume ends with an exhaustive index of all the species mentioned. The second volume contains, among other things, details of a triangular measuring instrument for determining the length and volume of a tree.
A good copy, complete with 39 plates (38 engraved plates, one folding table).
